Walnut and Black Treacle Biscuits

Ingredients
- 200g vegan margarine
- 250g muscavado sugar
- 1 tablespoon black treacle (molasses)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 200g chopped walnuts
Method
- Cream together margarine and sugar.
- Add the treacle and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt, beating well.
- Fold in the walnuts.
- Roll out the mixture and cut out shapes.
- Put on a baking tray into an oven at 180 degrees/Gas mark 4 for about 8-10 minutes.
- Leave to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
