Suet Pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces self-raising flour
  • 3 ounces vegetable suet
  • 3 tablespoons of jam (or golden syrup etc.)
  • 2 ounces sugar
  • 1/2 pint of soya milk
  • pinch of salt
  • margerine for greasing the basin

Method

  • Grease a 1½ pint pudding basin and spoon the jam into the bottom
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, suet and salt
  • Graduallly stir in the milk and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the pudding basin
  • Cover the basin and microwave for about 5 minutes on full power.
