Reviewed by Edward, 19th April 2009 I had lunch in the Ropery Coffee Shop at the Ropewalk today. This is the same place where the Green Party have their meals. Although it was very busy the service was fast and they made a point of serving every one's food at the same time. The majority of the items on the standard menu, and all the items on the "specials" menu, were vegetarian.
I had Spinach and Potato Balti with rice, which was also vegan. Other vegetarians in the group had Brie and Red Onion Tart, Panninis, and Potato Wedges. Everyone enjoyed their meals and although the portions were large there was no food left on anyone's plate.
I spoke to the staff and they said that they cannot guarantee that there will be a vegan item on the specials menu every day, but on the standard menu Roast Vegetables & Humus Panninis and Wraps are always available.
